Your baptism saves you.💯

Jesus meets us in the waters of baptism. 🌊

What Jesus brings to baptism:
Perfection 🏆
Holiness 😇
Righteousness🛡️
Justice ⚖️
Purity 💎
Obedience 🙌

What we bring to baptism:
Sin 😞
Unholiness 👿
Unrighteousness 🚫⚖️
Guilt 😔
Defilement 🦠
Failure 💔

In baptism, Jesus’ perfect righteousness meets our unrighteousness. 🤝
Our sin and death is washed away and put upon him.🏋️

And this is the great exchange . . . 🔄✨

➡️ Our garments that were pure black became pure white. And his white garment became black with our sin.

➡️ He carries our sins out of his baptismal waters to the cross to die for them. ✝️

➡️ He buries them in the grave so that they would be no more. 🪦

✨ We leave clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

When you wear a Halloween costume and knock on someone’s door, they don’t see you, but the character you’ve become. 🎭

In the same way, after you are baptized — God the Father looks at you, but he no longer sees you, He sees Christ and all of the righteousness, perfection, holiness and obedience of Jesus. 👀👑

And he treats you just like he treats Jesus by saying: “You are my beloved child; come into my kingdom.” 🏰

Through baptism, you are now a child of God.❤️
