🤔You probably don’t remember it. You’re taking your parents word that it even happened.

The pastor poured some water 💧on your head, and said, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” ✝️

❓But what exactly happened? What exactly does baptism do for you?

Baptism cleanses you of your original sins and all the sins you’ll ever commit. You become a new creation. 🌿

❓How does it do this?

Water alone couldn’t do this — it’s water 💧combined with God’s word 📖 and God’s name.

Jesus explained it best in John 3: You need to be “born again” to enter the kingdom of God. 👑

That sounds messy.🌀No wonder Nicodemus asks, “How can you go into your mother’s womb a second time and be born?”

Jesus explains that he has to be born of the water 💦 and the spirit.🕊️ He needs a heavenly birthday 🎂 — a day in which he is brought into the kingdom of God.

That’s what baptism is — your heavenly birthday. 🎉

Through baptism, you are:
✨ Washed
✨ Cleansed
✨ Forgiven
✨ Created anew
✨ Branded by Christ
✨Eternal
✨Heavenly
✨Saintly
✨Eternal
✨Loved
✨God’s own child

💀Death cannot end you. ❌ Sin has no power. 🌊The old Adam is drowned forever.

✨Enjoy your baptismal identity on this earthly pilgrimage 🌍 because it’s going to be fun in eternity! 🎉🌟
