🌊 What does it mean when someone says to return to your baptism?🌊
Most of us don’t even remember our baptism. Plus, our baptism happened in the past. How do you return to that? 🤷♀️
First, here are some truth bombs 💣 about what happens in baptism… 💦
Baptism ties you to the death of Christ ✝️ where you receive the following…
✨ Forgiveness
🌱 Life
🏅 Salvation
🌄 Promise of resurrection
🏡 Adoption into God’s household
🎁 The gift of Faith
💫 The Righteousness of Christ
(Want the biblical receipts? 🧾 Read Romans 6 & Galatians 4! 📖)
When you return to your baptism, it’s to remind yourself of this foundational reality — it’s the day you were rooted in Christ. 🌱 So, returning to your baptism means remembering who you are in Christ. 🙏
We’re all seen like little Jesuses ✨, accounted as righteous because we are clothed in the righteousness of Christ. And this all started in your baptism, which ties you to this reality. 🌊
So when you return to your baptism, remember that God has claimed you, 🙌 given you a new birth 💧, forgiven your sins 🕊️, and the devil has no power over you because you are in Christ. 🛡️
