📖 Walking Through the Psalms: Psalm 10
Have you ever prayed and felt like God’s not listening? 🤔
You pray and pray and pray, but when you look around, it seems like things aren’t going well for you, and those who are evil seem to increase. 💔
Why isn’t God doing anything about it? 🤷♂️
That’s what Psalm 10 is about. ✅
It’s lamenting to God about why things are so bad and why He doesn’t (seem to) do anything about it. 🗣️💭
It seems like the righteous continue to suffer, and the wicked continue to flourish.🕺
BUT we also learn from Psalm 10 the reality that God is the one who does help. ✨💪
He is the one who is here.📍
Yes, it looks like the wicked are winning the day, but that’s in our small, feeble, little minds. 🧠
We’re not looking at the whole picture — the eternal life that is ours in Christ. ✝️
It may seem like things aren’t going well for us here below, but remember your baptism. 💧 Remember who you are in Christ. 💖
C.S. Lewis said, “Those who live like they’re in heaven now have hell awaiting them one day, and those who live in hell today have heaven awaiting them when they die.”
Be at peace and take heart. 💗
It may seem like the wicked are winning the day, but they’re not. The Lord watches. 👀 He watches over you, and He knows you. 💙
He watches you through the lens of His Son. 🕊️❤️
Though we fail, the Father still beholds us according to the righteousness of His Son. 🙏🌟
God hears you. He’s not far away. He’s right there with you. 🙌💫
