Got anxiety? Go read the 46th Psalm. ✨

It’s a psalm for anxious hearts 💔 who think that everything’s falling apart, and they are all alone.
You are met with the promises of God 🙌, including one of the most beautiful verses you’ll find:
“Be still and know that I am God.” (v. 10)

🌟 Fun fact: It’s also the Psalm the hymn, “A Mighty Fortress” 🎶 comes from.

A Mighty Fortress is a recognition that if everything is falling apart, God still stands. ✝️ And He not only stands but stands around you. 🤲

This is a Psalm for everyone who worries too much 😔 — not simply to tell you not to worry but to remind you:

☑️Who your God is ✨
☑️How powerful your God is 💥
☑️That your God is for you and with you 🤝

When everything is falling apart 💨🏚️, you get to recognize:
“The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our fortress. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter” 🏰, but all God needs to do is speak 🗣️, and all of that falls apart.”

When God speaks, He doesn’t simply speak judgment ⚖️ against what’s gone wrong in this world 🌍.

He speaks words like:
✌️ Peace be with you.
✝️ Your sins are forgiven.
✔️ It is finished.

Jesus dies on the cross ✝️, and there we find a fortress 🏰 that stands — even when the earth gives way 🌎.

Being still can help when facing anxiety. By contemplating who God is and what He has done, you’ll find an answer to everything that worries you. ✨

Note the plural: “God is OUR refuge and strength.” 💞

You are not alone. 🤗 You are joined to your brothers and sisters in Christ ✝️👥, praying this Psalm together.

Your God not only saves you ✨ but also gives you the church ⛪, where you can bring your anxiety and fear 🙏.
