“I’m baptized, so I’m good, right? I don’t need church anymore, right?” 🤔
The roof didn’t rip open and light didn’t beam down on you as you were baptized, but something amazing did happen. ✨💧
🙌 God washed you and granted you faith.
✝️ He delivered the forgiveness that he won for you.
💝 He gave you everything you need to support your body and soul to life everlasting.
Can we just forget we’re Christians now?
Instead, we live as Christians, and we listen to what Christ has called us to do. 🛐
As baptized Christians, we still struggle with sin. 😔
When we go to church: ⛪
🙏 We confess our sins and receive forgiveness.
🍞🍷 We receive the body and blood of Jesus to strengthen us for the spiritual battles against sin and temptation.
We don’t walk through our Christian life trying to figure out how little we can do or what we can get away with. ❌
Instead, our entire life revolves around Christ. 💖
That’s part of what our baptism does — it brings us into God’s family, so now we listen to Dad’s voice.👂
Remember your baptism. While we still struggle with sin, Christ does not leave us alone. 🌟
He brings us to Himself in repentance and faith, and He gives us the Holy Spirit to trust in His promises. 🕊️
Thanks be to God. 🙏
