✨ What is Psalm 23 Really About? ✨

⛪This is a church psalm.

🌫️ If you are in the valley of the shadow of death, go to church.

🏠 There’s a house of the Lord built right in the middle of the valley.
🍽️ And in it, there’s a table prepared just for you.
🍷 There’s a cup prepared full of the blood of Christ, for you.

🙏 Our Lord descends to confront the Valley of the Shadow of Death.
💔 He dives in to even die for you.
✝️ Jesus comes to bear the cross to save you from all the things that would kill you, and more.
🍞 He feeds you with His own body and blood, set upon the altar for you.

👿 Even though the devil, the world, and your own sinful flesh assail you, and death bangs at your door, you have Christ bodily for you to eat and drink for the forgiveness of your sins.

⛪ Churches are not escapes from the world.
🛡️ They are places to help you endure.

🌌 The valley of the shadow of death will look dark until the day of resurrection, but that cup will always be for you.

🛐 Pray the 23rd Psalm, and recognize it is God pointing you to where He will be when everything has gone horribly wrong, and exactly how He will sustain you.

📖 Pray the 23rd Psalm, because here you join not only your will to God’s, but you find His will working to save you.

💒 Go to church when everything’s falling apart, because that’s where God is for you. ❤️
