Psalm 91: The Truth the Devil Didn’t Want You to Know

Psalm 91 is a beautiful reminder that God is our refuge and fortress, a place of comfort and protection. 🌟

It paints vivid pictures of God shielding us from danger, like a bird covering its chicks, and assures us that we can trust Him to protect us from every fear and threat. 🕊️

But there’s a twist in the story—

When the devil tempted Jesus, he quoted Psalm 91, but conveniently left out a key part of the verse. 😈

In verses 11-12, the devil quotes God’s promise to send angels to guard us, but he ignores verse 13, which says, “You will trample the lion and the serpent underfoot.” 🦁🐍

Why is this important?

Because it connects directly to the prophecy in Genesis 3, where God promises that the seed of the woman will crush the serpent’s head—pointing to Jesus’ victory over evil. ✝️

The devil knew this verse too well, which is why he left it out.

He didn’t want Jesus (or you!) to see the ultimate victory over Satan. 💥

But the full context reveals that Psalm 91 isn’t just about God protecting us.

It’s about the mission of Jesus, who was protected by God to fulfill His plan of salvation for us.

Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we too are protected and promised eternal life. 🌅

So, when we read Psalm 91, let’s remember that it’s not just a psalm of comfort—it’s a declaration of God’s ultimate victory through Jesus. 👑
